Advice on which 996 to go with
I am trying to decide between two cars, here are the details:
A)
2000 Speed Yellow C2, with a Fully Aero Kit, 18k miles, in great condition, bottom price $40k. In FL.
B)
2001 Guards Red C2, All tan leather, 36.6k miles, great condition,
managed to get the dealer down to 37,510. In Denver.
I'll have to consider shipping for both cars to Maryland.
Thanks for your input.

If you buy the car in FLA, fly down and drive it back - you'll be glad you did.
If you get the right car, a Porsche with 40k miles will feel better than any new car you've owned previously. In my opinion, $40k is too high for a 2000 hardtop, so if you're willing to spend that much, be patient and find one locally that you can drive first.

I'd probably go with the Yellow one, but more because I like that color better. I am not a fan of the red personally. One thing though we have learned is make sure that Florida car is not a flood car, and relying on Carfax to tell you that info is not a good idea.

Thanks guys for the input, I would love to drive the car back but time wil lnot be on my side. The guy is fixed on 40, so I am opting out of that one, the guards red is fully opted minus a nav and aero.

I would need more details on options. Hard to say if it is a good deal or not. I will say that the Savanha Beige interior gets a little old if it is everything (JMO from experience). There are a ton of 996s for sale in the DC area, would be much closer for you and save on shipping and/or transportation.

There isn't too much difference between 37.5 and 40. The extra 2.5K seems to be getting you a lot: half the miles and an aero kit. Aeros seem to have much better resale value than non aeros. I would go for the speed yellow car. Of course, only after the car flies through a PPI.

I also love the yellow, but then saw a pic of a Red with Aero, tallying it up it's going to work out to a similar figure, is there any difference between a 2000 model and a 2001?
How would I get a PPI done, the dealer with the Red is willing to get the PPI done whenever I am ready.
Thanks again for everyone's input........
