Come one if you are poser in a Porsche what the hell are you in a Yellow Lambo or a red Ferrari???
Porsches are the most understated sportscars around...okay besides the Honda Prelude look-a-like Maserati...

I think the cars look cool both ways. I used to chuckle when I saw a parked car with the wing up but what the heck? Only a few people on this planet know it is a simple push of the button, especially in a 993. It is fun to slow down for toll booths and watch other people point to the back your car and you can read their lips "did you see that?", Then the expert in the car starts making flapping gestures with their hands. Oh yea, if you drove my car a lot in congested areas with traffic, I would have no problem with a tip. In those conditions the car is so inside the envelope of capability who cares. Then when you get out in the open you can row the box anyway.

I guess if the guy who leaves his wing up is a poser then so are all the folks who put on aero kits and don't track the car. How about putting nice wheels on the car? How about cleaning your car?

"What an idiot (the OP)"
Man, it was just an observation, no big deal. I thought we called each other names in school
We as humans observe what other humans do and to me it seemed a bit lame but hey at least a couple of people agree with me.
"I think the OP is the ultimate poser, trying to prove his mettle as a Porsche fanatic by making that ridiculous statement!"
oh another insult. Mitch is a nice chap isn;t he?

I think the moral of this thread is....labels are gay, what one likes, another may not. Don't be judgemental of anyone, P-car owner OR rice-kiddies.
Point is this -- hopefully after you have gotten to the point of owning a true exotic, all the high school **** is left to others. We should be above this.
Now, on the other-hand, if you put those wheels on your porsche that stick out 3 feet from the car, you'r a WANNABE Gangsta!!!! Brothers know what im talking about!

Correct me if I'm wrong, because I've only owned one Porsche with a fixed wing (GT3), but haven't owners of the moveable wing had problems with the mechanism breaking eventually with all the up and down those things do? Isn't this moveable wing another thing "to go wrong" and fix down the road? Couldn't the guy just be leaving it in the up position to prevent this and in its most efficent position? Can't we all just get along...

Wow, did you guys have a bad weekend or what?
OP, welcome to the board. It's usually a pretty nice place to hang out. As for your observation, many people do stuff to and with their Porsches that I think is stupid but at the end of the day, it's their car so what the hell. Live and let live.
