Ok....so my audio upgrade has taken a little time, but its done, and it sounds AMAZING....Here is my list:
Kenwood DDX 7015 touchscreen head unit with DVD/Nav/Sirius/iPod integration
Focal 165 V3E 3 way seperates
Audison LRX 6.9 Amp (AWESOME AMP)
AI Design Custom footwell sub with JL Audio 8w3 driver
head unit went in 2 years ago....still works great, sounds great.
the Focal 3 ways sound sooooo good....I custom mounted the 6.5" woofers in the stock door baffles...the mods and tweets in the stock dash locations.
The foot well sub in the passenger footwell.....
The amp is in 5 channel mode
70 watts x4 for the 3 ways and the stock rears....they actually dont sound too bad in the rears....I have the low end rolled off, so its really just giving me mids because the stock speakers have NO high end.
280 watts bridged at 4 ohms to the sub box.....
How does it sound? Well I have not heard another sound system in ANY car that sounds this good. Its wide, spacious, crisp highs and MONSTROUS lows...this sub box is small and doesnt take up much space at all, BUT I have the sub volume at just over half power and its thunderous....i'll turn it down some more....Its all clean and clear and LOUD....This is an amazing system for not that much money especially if you do the install yourself like I did....I am going to custom mount the amp and put in a false floor. The Audison amp is very cool....6 ins, 3 sets of crossovers, its can be used in 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 channel configurations, and again its CLEAN....Thanks to AI design and Rod at Car Audio Innovations....

Hello All
I'm looking for any recommendation for audio upgrade for my 2004 911 cab. Middle Georgia is where I am but will travel to Atlanta if necessary. Speakers, head unit, amp.....you know, they are sub par. I know that I would not attempt myself. thx

Guys, this thread is 4 years old. While the information is still valid, the OP (Newport996) sold his car almost 2 years ago and has not been on the forum since 3/29/2008.
