I talked with Becker Audio (the manufacturer of the factory radios) to get a price quote for them changing out the five small round buttons across the top of the faceplate since mine have begun to delaminate and they said they do it often for less then $100. I am sure that they could probably change out the LED backlighting while they are in there. Someone might want to call them if they are interested.

I know this is an old thread but I thought I should update it with some photos of the LEDs in white. Two bulbs in my instrument cluster (alternator and oil pressure gauges) were burnt out so I figured what the heck, might as well try swapping them out with LEDs while I have the cluster out.
I must say they look pretty good but not as good as the ones on my Lexus RX330. Still, for $30 I think it is worth it. We'll see how long they last.
P.S. In case you're interested, the eBay seller's name is porscheleds.

Anyway, the rev meter needle is the brightest since it is right in between two of the big LED bulbs. The other needles are not as bright in comparison. The gauge faces are all pretty bright but again there are definitely "hot spots" by the 2 and 6 in the rev meter since that is where the two bigger LED bulbs are. I wish the lighting from the LEDs were more even like the standard bulbs but I guess that is a limitation of the LED design.
