Last, I recall reading some posts on this board advising not to get a front aero unless the corresponding rear wing is added - anything to this?

Thanks!
It is the other way around. DON'T add a rear wing without the corresponding front aero. The rear wing will increase the rear down force, which will make the front end even "lighter" feeling so the front areo needs to be added to increase the down force in the front.

Tim, technically it is to reduce lift in the front (essentially the same).

Guys,
I hear ya, everyone has some good points. Personally, Los Angeles area doesnt allow me to drive our 996 fast enough to matter what components we have on our cars.

Gota 450.00-600.00 for paint depending on what you get..
Cheers

Oops! Now I do, thanks.

Were the front fenders different between 99-01 and 02-05?

Here is a really good link, that I like to keep for reference regarding the 996 side skirts:

http://www.pca.org/tech/tech_qa_question.asp?id={8B5D4671-B8C4-4B17-B9AE-4ADD78C26977}

It gives all the part numbers and answers alot of questions

Yes the fenders are different due to the different headlights.

Front bumper and sides are different between the pre-facelift and the facelift models. However, you CAN use either the MkI or the MkII side members (side skirts) for all model years 996 (narrow body).
