Yes 1700 was the price I got from the DPS group buy. I struggled with the decision to paint my hood to get rid of the rock chips. I wish I had not done it. The rock chips would be a welcome sight to me now. They screwed the hood up so bad I wouldn't even let them try and fix it. Oddly enough the shop painted the bumper and skirts just fine. His prep work on the hood was just atrocious, and that after two tries.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the emails, we didn't want to offer another group buy until we had plenty of stock. I'm proud to say we just got in a full container of GT-3 / Aerokit front bumpers. So if anyone is interested again we will honor the $1700.00 price for the Genuine front bumper and side skirts.
These bumpers also fit the boxsters, so let your 986 friends know too!
Cheers

We would love to however, we think it may be a conflict of interest to our existing customers that already sponsor this site. The only reason we offer this bumper deal is currently none of our customers retail them through us.

Yup, Dayton has my order for the aero bumper and side skirts!
Best deal that I found was from DPS, it's not even worth checking out other places. As long as he does a good job on the paint job he'll have a customer for life in me.
How's the painting going? I hope that Glacier White is looking good! ...I can't wait to get my hands on them and get them installed!

If you are looking for a good deal on a taco wing, check this out:

I have a factory taco wing on my car. I had an issue with the center part of the taco wing where the paint would bubble up looking a lot like someone had dabbed touch up paint on it. And there were a bunch of these spots. A repair shop color sanded it once and clear coated it, but five weeks later it looked the same. When I took it back, they sanded down one of the spots to the bare surface and let it sit overnight. The next morning, the area was damp as something was coming up through the surface. Obviously, this was causing the issue and they did not want to repair it as they felt the spots would return.
They felt it was a defective part and that Porsche should cover it under warranty. That was denied. As many of you know, you cannot buy the center section separately and the list price from Porsche is excessive for the entire rear wing.
I did a search on E-Bay looking for a used wing to replace mine and came up with the ad above. After looking at the photos, the wing appeared to be an exact copy of the factory wing. I called the guy and asked him if he would sell the center section separately and if it would fit the factory wing. He said it would fit and the price would be around $300 plus shipping. He also said it was made out of the same composite material as the factory wing.
I ordered the part and the body shop was very impressed with the quality feeling that it was at least equal to the factory part. It fit perfectly and I have not had a re-occurence of the paint issue.
Based on my experience, I feel you would be happy with the quality of the piece and that it would be priced competitively. Also, the guy was very helpful which is also worth a lot.
