With my PCM I received a package

I'am clueless as to what they are

Parts list identifies 996 637 344 00 as "identification ring". Perhaps like a radio code for you PCM? I know there are 2 codes that have to be input to a PCM if you change it out or just the 1 code if you just lose (battery) power.
