I was able to mount them onto my stock set up. It wasn't easy, but it worked. Coilovers usually use an adjustable collar as a mounting point in the rear...makes it easier to adjust to get the right fit.

Hi Gents:
If I can inject a point about the adjustable droplinks,........
Without the ability to remove any swaybar preload, you can have some pretty serious crossweight problems. I've seen this ruin a very careful job of corner balancing many times.
If achieving better handling and adjustability is the objective and you are willing to spend these kinds of dollars to accomplish this, do this right and install the GT-3 adjustable droplinks.

I have a question. If you are using coilovers wouldn't you be able to remove the preload by adjusting the height of the collar on the shock? Sorry for the stupid question just trying to figure out why the threaded links are necessary. Is there such a part for 993's?
Thanks

Hi Greg:
On the rear suspension, you may remove the swaybar preload by raising or lowering the upper droplink mounting collars on the shock body by rotating them.
The 996 GT-3 front bar needs the adjustable droplinks as the geometry and lengths are different. PM has those but they are VERY spendy. No aftermarket pieces are available unless they are one-off custom jobs.
993's do not need rear adjustable droplinks as you can see, but you can use them on the front, ala 993 RSR.
As always, the car must be sitting on the ground when these adjustments are made.
