Another stupid coolant question
I ordered 1 gallong of the Porsche coolant per part number that was given to me on this board 000-043-301-05 from Pelican parts.
When I compared with the existing coolant in the car the color is different. The existing stuff is yellow color, and the new stuff I just received is pink.
The bottle also have no mention of G12, just says G-30-91-EF
Any ideas? Should I mix this with the existing coolant?
Thanks

Thanks, based on the information I have been reading on Renntech Porsche switched to the pink stuff in 2002 and can be mixed in and used together with the yellow stuff.

Any G12 or G12+ coolant can be used. VW also uses it. G12 is pink and G12+ is purple. It's OK to mix G12 with G12+. G12+ is an compatible with G11 and G12 is not. Generally green coolant is the old type with silicates, more suitable for iron block engines.
