Default Another stupid coolant question

I ordered 1 gallong of the Porsche coolant per part number that was given to me on this board 000-043-301-05 from Pelican parts.

When I compared with the existing coolant in the car the color is different. The existing stuff is yellow color, and the new stuff I just received is pink.

The bottle also have no mention of G12, just says G-30-91-EF

Any ideas? Should I mix this with the existing coolant?

Thanks

Thanks, based on the information I have been reading on Renntech Porsche switched to the pink stuff in 2002 and can be mixed in and used together with the yellow stuff.

The coolant on the right in that picture looks like it needs changing, not like it is yellow stuff that is still useable.

I find it hard to check coolant level with the yellow stuff through the tank if not well lit, maybe the pink helps.

Actually the coolant doesn't look that bad, the reason why it looks dirty in the pictures is because that's the bucket I had under the engine while I was chaning out the SAI valve, I accentally broken one of the coolant connecting bracket and the coolant spilled out through the engine bay and picked up a lot of debris along the way.

No, the green is a different color of coolant, and the oxidation turns it to orange.

G30 is the same as G12/G12+. You got the right coolant.

Any G12 or G12+ coolant can be used. VW also uses it. G12 is pink and G12+ is purple. It's OK to mix G12 with G12+. G12+ is an compatible with G11 and G12 is not. Generally green coolant is the old type with silicates, more suitable for iron block engines.
