So I finally got around to ordering the 'silver' bulbs to complement the clear sidemarkers that I installed and I got overzealous and went ahead and bought the same type of bulbs for the front turn signals...only to find out that tonight (while changing out the bulbs) that there is actually amber lenses in the front lamp units not just orange bulbs! I'm bummed.

Is it possible to remove the orange lenses or does anyone want to buy a couple of bulbs?

Unfortunately, the amber lens/diffuser is built into the headlight assembly. Check out this excellent write-up on how to remove the amber lens using a soldering iron.
