Default Need a good price on a new helmet

I have a DE in June and just found out my Snell 95 helmet is no longer acceptable. I need a new one and would like another Bell M2 full face with shield (or something comparable). I would like to spend less than $300. Any suggestions where to look?

See what you think about these: Cheap!

No affiliation, yada, yada, yada. Just thinking about a new helmet myself. Don't quite agree with you about being too cheap on safety equipment, but it's your head .

OGRacing's clearance section is very good....I have purchased items for my son's karting from them. Very good customer service.

One note: if you considering a helmet from a manufacturer different from what you currently wear, you may want to try it on (or at least be sure you can return it).....different helmet manufacturers assume different anthropormorphic models for the human head.....a Bell may fit you fine, but an OMP simply won't.

Also, IIRC, OGRacing is a rennlist sponsor as well?
Always good to support Rennlist sponsors if you get a chance.

I've had great luck with OGracing as well. I actually just got my G-Force Pro Force Helmet from them last week. $249 shipped (free shipping). Fits great, and SA2005 rated.

I got mine at Northstar Motor Sports www.northstarmotorsports.com

The owner (John) is a great guy and also happens to be the Chief Driving Instructor for the PCA Chicago Region.

I bought a barely used Bieffe SA2000 for $100 shipped off Ebay. Ebay is a pretty good source with a lot of helmets for sale, but you better know your size first. Use SA2000 and SA2005 as keywords for searches. G-Force has some very reasonable SA2005 open face helmets for around $150, but they fit tight in the face. If the size for your OG was tight, go one size larger if you look at a G-Force. You may even find some of the older G-Force SA2000 helmets still around. Jeg's was clearancing them out for about $80, but most sizes are sold out now.
