hello..
I have a question regarding the supple leather option.. orignally I had ordered my car without full leather but with the supple leather option for ($400).. my dealer called me back and said that you cannot order the supple leather option unless you get the full leather option..
I am wondering if this is correct?
if this is true than I guess I will not get either option as 400 for supple leather plus the full leather option would add another 2k to the price
thanks in advance

According to the 2003 Carrera order guide, supple leather has no prerequisites. It conflicts with sport seats, so you can't get it on sport seats no matter what. The car configurator on the PCNA site also allows you to configure supple leather without ordering the full leather interior.
I'd push back on the dealer on this one.

I had supple on both my 99 cab and my 01 TT and after 2 years and much care they still looked like an old couch
I opted for the standard seats on my 03 cab - dont rule it out becuase supple only looks perfect for a little while

I spoke with the dealer today... and he still says that he was unable to get the order with supple leather without either the 1500 extra supple leather package or the 3000+ supple leather package?
I don't know what to tell him... I know they are not trying to screw me but he says that when he orders it won't let him select the supple leather without one of the full leather options...
is it possible that they changed something for 2003?
right now I told him to put me down for no supple/full leather options as I really do not care...

I do not have supple leather in my 996, but one of my other cars does and there is no advantage to it at all. Harder to keep up, besides.
Granted it has nice "curb appeal" at the showroom.

Don't know about 2003s, but in previous years, you had to at least get " All Leather " or Full Leather" to get supple leather seats. The former was about $1500 , and basically paid for leather front seat backs and leather rear seats - otherwise standard cars came ( and still do I believe ) with vinyl rear seats . So you can't "upgrade" the rear leather seats for $300 bucks until you paid for them not to be vinyl. Have I confused you enough , LOL !?

To get supple leather (at least when I bought my '99 (full leather seats)and '02 (full leather interior) Carreras, you need to have full leather seats or full leather interior. The reason is that the standard seats do not include leather rear seats, only the seating surfaces on the front seats. Since supple is in the front and rear seats, you need to pay to have the rear seats in leather before you can "upgrade" to supple. I put "upgrade" in quotes because I had supple on my '99 Carrera and didn't like it at all, so didn't get it on my '02.
