The fact that there are so many TSB's is frightening. That should also indicate to PCNA that there are serious QC issues with some of the 996's, especially the first ones and they should do something about it. Good luck.

It looks good. Good Luck.

I'm curious for those who subscribe to all-data. Is there more TSBs for the 996 then a typical car? Porsche?

Porsche (and any other high-end carmaker) publishes a lot of TSBs, but this isn't necessarily due to any particular QC issues. Rather it is because when you spend $80,000 on a car, you expect it to be damn-near perfect. Think of it this way: the person who spends $16k on a Honda is probably not as sensitive to windshield wind noise as a new 996 owner. Neither, for that matter, is the person who buys a Camry as sensitive to every squeak and rattle as the person who spent much more on an ES300 (although ostensibly the same car). High-end brands do owe us better cars. That's why we pay more for them, but also realize that it's an ever-evolving process. Thus the need for TSBs.

Oh, and good luck with your quest. Maybe your local dealer can call in a favor from their zone rep to provide the muscle for getting this fixed!

Good info...is there a web site with links to the TSBs?
