Question VOTE: Which set of wheels should I keep?

Hello All,

I need as much input as possible as to which set of wheels I should keep. The cab came with sport classic IIs. I also have 3 piece brand new turbo twists that I bought at a good deal 2 years ago in anticipation of buying a Porsche.

Which do you think would look better on the car? Also, if you think I should sell both and get a totally different set of wheels, I am open to suggestions. As you see, I have the GT-3 aerokit. That may factor in to the decision of what wheels to use for some. I would assume that no matter what I do, everyone would agree to use the colored crest center caps instead of the clear ones? Even if you have a better suggestion, let me know which you would keep if you had to.

Personally, I like the Wheels that are on the car, given the two choises. Not that crazy about the 3 piece turbo twists. Look like an older wheel. The sport wheels are fresher looking.

Just my opinion.

I have the 3 piece turbo twists on a 993 cab and I think they are just OK, nothing spectacular. If you are going to keep the car at the stock height I would keep the Sport Classics. If your are planning on lowering your car though, I would go with either Gemballa Competitions (I have these on my other 993 cab) or Kinesis K58 with the reverse lip.

I have the Classic II's, with a factory aerokit They look great on the car and look even better if the car is lowered, if that is a possibility for you, depending on your road conditions.

No doubt in my mind. I would keep the classic II's. Better looking, more contemporary, goes with the cab better.

I had the Classic II's on my cab. Just put on a set of '02 Carrera 5 spokes...Updates the car completely...

I'll tak a before and after pic for you...it'll take me a day or so.

The '02 wheels really look good, plus they are easy to clean, opposed to the Classic II's.

IMO, I don't think you can go wrong with either because your car looks great. Unless you were going to be running 14" steel wheels, you can't mess up the looks of your car with either. I personally like the look of a lip, especially on the rear, and the bigger, the better.

They will be a pain in the azz to clean, but I'd keep the Classic IIs!

I agree with all of you. I also think the 3 piece twists would look better on the 993. The whole thing started when I showed the picture of the car to a friend (Nissan 350Z/non Porsche owner) who thought the wheels looked gay. When I pressed on the issue, it is that he likes big lips or has to have big lips on his wheels. I guess that is what he thinks makes a wheel.

My gut always loved the Sport Classic II. Especially on the aero kit cab. I am going to stick to my guns with these wheels and keep them regardless of what he says.

I guess not having a big lip on the wheels makes them look gay???

*obvious sarcasm*

Cars certainly have "gender" tendencies, but sexual orientation???? If a 966 is female (which I happen to think it is), then your friend is saying the classics make it look like a lesbian! Either way, we're all driving babes.

Personally, I like the classics also. But here... decide for yourself:

Damn, that is a neat trick. I assume you did it with Photoshop. Very impressive alteration. I like them. Though I personally like the sport classics the best.

I appreciate all of the positive comments on the car. I think it looks nice too.
