Post Suspension questions

How long do the shocks typically last on a 996? I'm at 48k miles, and my front shocks are about gone - frot of the car is feeling a little vague in hard corners and squeak like old bedsprings at low speeds.

Also, I'm tempted to upgrade instead of replace, is H&R the way to go? Are there any upgrades from Porsche that can be applied to a '99 996?

I would suggest conversion to RoW (Rest of World) M030 sports suspension. It is a factory kit that consists of shocks, springs, and sway bars. The height will drop about 20mm front and 10mm rear. It makes for a very nice handling Porsche.

Thanks for the response. Do you know the cost on the kit by any chance?
