Pingu--Hard eight.
I have had my Rolex about fourteen years, it was my favorite then, and still will be fourteen years from now. Needs service, maybe I will do the dial again. The Breguet is newest ('98 great time to buy) and I wear that one by far the most, the others in the middle.
Getting the 5-year itch, this thread will probably cost me (wholesale). Time I got out of the Omega anyway, I never wear it.
PeterC4Cab--That would be perfectionist, so is expecting accuracy better than a minute per week. 5 years, or if there is an obvious problem, or if it runs fast.

Any Minerva owners out there?
I like my Minerva Pythagore. It has a crystal back so I can see the gears move (I'm a hopeless gearhead)and the jewels. The watches are totally built in house and the company has had only something like 350 employees since it started 135+ years ago. Limited production and I've only see one other since I got mine.
They are in Villeret, Switzerland and used to make stopwatches for sports.

Minerva Pythagore Grand "Blue Hands"
Wonderful watches, sad the company "died"

I guess I'm either in left field or in a select club, but I'm surprised there has not been one mention of Corum. I've worn the same Corum Romvlvs since 1987 and it is as stylish now as it was I first got it. Looks good with a tux or a t-shirt.

Great topic, I'm a watch guy as well with Panerai, Omega, Vasheron, and Bedat. I was looking through the UK magazine "Car" last night and saw a very good looking new watch from Breitling. There are actually two new watches one of witch is the LeMans limited edition with only 1000 watches produced. It's part of a marketing campaign they are creating with Bently around the new Continental GT. You can check them out at http://www.breitling.com/index_en.html.
For those of you who enjoy cigars, if you get the chance try out a Gurkha Pre-Embargo cigars. They are made with vintage 1940 Cuban tobacco filler and really smooth. I bought mine at Corona Cigar Company in Orlando, FL. The web site is http://www.coronacigar.com/ .
Have fun!
