C4S or a TT?
The looks of the C4S are really starting to warm up to me, I wonder what kind of discount you could get these days on a new c4S compared to a new or like new TT , which seem to be heavily discounted.
Auto Spies is saying $7000 off a C4S....
I just got a TT.. leased it.. as you may recalled the lease payments I posted a few weeks ago had the TT within $100 of a C2 (after $10000 off). Leasing a TT made better "cents" than an "ATMO" car.. The residual on the TT is almost 20% higher and with such low interest rates... C4S residuals are about 51-55% at 3 years... TT was 64%-72%.
Bottom line.. the dealers are discounting TT's heavily... C4S 's are still selling.. so look close at a TT.. after 3 years or ownership.. be it lease or buy... the cost of a TT may be less or close... It is all in the depreciation..
ALSO, if the 997 appears soon.. Turbos will hold thier value better, since the 997TT is not due for another 2-3 years... and a 380hp 997"S" will kill the resale of a 320hp C4S.

Doug - seriously if you can stomach the $$$ and you want a hardtop you cant even compare the two cars. The only reason that I sold my TT and have a cab is simply becuase for the most part my porsche driving is new york summers so that cab just more rewarding - get the TT you wont rgeret it buddy!

Doug - tho' it seems you've made up your mind, here's my 2 cents. The TT is definitely the better car. The question you have to answer for yourself is whether the price diff is worth it. I wanted to buy and own a new car, and to me, the TT was just not $35K better than the C4S. Since you are also looking at "like new" TT, the price difference may be less and therefore worth it. Just to make life more difficult for you
, I've heard that the C4S's are now ALSO being discounted, so the price diff may again approach $35k. If you have money to burn, go for it. If you think it's $35K better, go for it. Good luck!!
