Post paper weight

Can someone tell me what the deal is with the paperweight some folks got when they got their cars? Was it gratis or did it cost $$$$.
How did you apply, or was it just sent to you? I also assume this is just for a new purchase.

When I got my '02 Carrera, it had a card included in the stuff they give you, that had a picture of it and said it was a gift in return for responding to their customer sat survey

i called PCNA about this. i got two for my first two cars. the third one didn't have it. it turns out that they stopped making those things in late august 2002. so if you bought car after that date, you will not get one. this is what i learned from the PCNA rep. on the phone. anyone hear otherwise?

Bought my ( 2002) car in November 2002 and got one. So maybe rep meant they stopped putting that " survey for a paperweight " form in M.Y. 2003 production owners handbook kit.

I recently (Jan.) bought an 03 - no such form
was in the owner's handbook, and no one mentioned
any paperweight. However I did get a coffee mug and some cookies...

mkw, good for you. now i am very upset.
where did you buy your car from? i will have to talk to pcna and my dealer again about this. they will lose this customer who bought 3 porsche in 12 months for good if they don't deliver me a paper wt with my VIN on it.
