If they are same with 99-01 then it's p-zeros or contis(I prefer pzeros myself). Regards. Mike

P-Zero Assyms are absolutely flawless on dry pavement with incredible and seemingly unending grip. Their rain performance is not quite as impressive, but still quite acceptable, particularly given the fact that the C4S has awd and very effective electronic slip control (PSM).

I know nothing about contis. All C4S's that I have seen have the P-Zero's.

I wish that Bridgestone would make their So3's in a size that would fit our huge, 11" wide rims on the rear. I think the So3's would provide a better balance of wet traction and dry traction with a longer lasting tread compound. Unfortunately, they don't.

I replaced the stock Contis on my '99 c4 coupe after 13,000 miles with Bridgestone pole positions S03. A much better ride with great grip!

That's what I keep hearing, brobbinson. Unfortunately fro me, no S03's fit the C4S.

Palting - I believe the Michelin Pilot Sport comes in a "285" that should fit the C4S - that is another great tire. Tirerack is a good resource for tire comps and sizing relative to your specific car. I'd rather have the C4s with the stock Conti or Pirelli than the '99 C4 with the S03

My 99 C2 had P-zeroes but at 18k they had gotten so noisy and the ride so harsh that I replaced them with the Michellin sport series. My 01 C4 came with conti's which seemed to be fine, 1600 miles on the autobahn and then another 3k from POE to Seattle. But now after the first long trip this year, Seattle to eastern Oregon and return, both of us were left wondering how the car suddenly became so noisy we couldn't hear each other.

If I have to replace these what is the quietest tire I can get, long term?

Michellins again?

brobbinson,

C4S comes with 225/40/18 front and 295/30/18 rear. The only tires that come in that size in Tire Rack are the PZero and Conti. Not really having anything to compare to, the P Zero's seem awesome enough.

Just got my 2002 TT received last week and the tire was Conti Sport. However, I request for a P-Zero and he did it for it. I am quite satisfy with the P-Zero.
