Default Painted Rear Bumperettes for '99-'01

Does anyone have a pic of the painted rear bumperettes on a pre-'02 996? I'm considering having mine painted by Eric, but would like to see how they look on the car first. I tried the archives, but there were no pics, unfortunately. For anyone who's already done this, would you mind posting a pic?

TIA,
Charlie

I think you could look at any '02 - '04 C2 to see what they will look like when painted.

Eric is the Michael Angelo of Porsche paint matching

Eric did the rear bumperettes on the 996TT (Lapis Blue):

And he did the rear bumperettes on the 968Cab (Polar Silver):

You guys will all kill me because the look of the painted bumperettes does look grand, but here in NYC, I just feel better off with the rubber ones so as to protect against errants parkers. Lightly tapped bumperettes are bound to show some nicks after a while.

As a result, I park my car close to the one behind me rather than the one in front so as to protect the front bumper wihtout rubber protection more than the rear.

Good point Edward, but I would NEVER park my P-Car in downtown NY, Boston, etc., or any of those cities that rely heavily on braile parking. That is what my SUV is for! Great turning radius and big

Nevada paper plates since I bought the car here in Vegas, but I am a Texas resident so I must keep true to my roots so I moved my TX plates over to the P-Car from the previous car. Besides, the tax here in Nevada is out of control on cars where in TX we only pay $63 a year!

As for the front plate, never have had the front plate on. It sits in the front trunk just "in case".

Nope.
Look underneath the bumperette, you will see a small cover (sometimes they're missing). Remove the cover, insert a long handled 6mm (IIRC) hex/allen wrench, loosen the bolt a few turns (no need to remove it), and the bumperette just comes off. 5 minute job.

Paid a guy "under that table" at the local paint place the dealer rec'd. I would rec'd Eric do yours though since the place I used here locally is too busy for their own good now and the quality of their work has gone straight downhill.
