Peter Smith is the shop foreman there (now). He answers questions and is a tech expert for PCA's Panorama magazine. He is one of the best (if not the best) in the US.

Forget Carlsen, (imo) they're the worst of the four in the Bay Area.

Rector is always in the ballpark on sales prices, but now that Peter Smith is there I wouldn't hesitate to take my car there for service work. He's one of the best.

rector still services cadillac along side porsche? the place is totally disorganized like a old gas station garage. interestingly, the same salesperson has been there forever. great sales person but i think he's prices are higher.

i've had excellent experience of service dept at carlsen. i think they have the highest customer service rating in the bay area. stevens creek was so so. the service adviser gave me a lecture on how rattles can't be fixed due to stiff suspension and later on called me when i didn't give me a 10 rating!

When Penske purchased Stevens Creek Porsche several people moved to Rector.

Peter is the guru. I have been bugging him to do a Cayman tech session.
