I have heard that it is a relatively standard Sony unit, but I want to make sure. I would like to find one locally this weekend, so if anyone can help that would be great.

The CDC-4 changer (MY 2003+) is a Panasonic unit. The Panasonic part number for the magazine is CA-MP600D. Incidentally, this is the same changer used in many Audi & VWs.
