Post 996 coupe C4 / baby seat....

Hello,
As i'll be father in 5 months, ,I would like to know if someone set a baby seat in the back of your car)!! If yes, wich brand, model? any tips!?
,..(I see there's possible to put it in the passanger seat with the airbag disable.. but this will be the last option..)
Thanks for your help!

Porsche makes 3 different models for the 996, from infant to small child. Their seats are all made by Britax and fit in the rear or front seat. If using in the front, they include an airbag shut-off buckle. I could never find Britax version of the baby seat (without Porsche mark-up!), but I did find the Britax version of toddler seat. It's just in a different color than the one offered by Porsche.

I have four kids and number five coming this month! I just had the airbag cutoff device installed. I do not have the baby seat but the booster seat for over 38lbs. Once you have the airbag cutoff device you can put any child seat up front. I would not put an infant rear facing seat in the back...wont fit!

I saw in the net that Britax have those ones ....so i'll order one of those!

Dranon, the Airbag device you can disable by your self? or as in your topic it has to be done by a specialist.(sorry i have to learn!. )

My wife has a Lincoln Navigator she has the kids with her most of the time! I only have one or two kids in the Porsche when need be!
The airbag cutoff device ONLY comes with a Porsche seat and must be installed/setup by a Porsche dealer. They must program the car to "see" the device. It cost me $40 for the dealer to do this but if you buy the seat/cutoff device from the dealer they include install at no charge.
Congratulations on yours also! The first one is the hard one everything is new! After that it is just rythym
I must be nuts

i also bought the Britax one because my son wanted a "porschecar seat" just like his big sister... it is exactly the same but has different fabric and does not have the airbag cutoff clip.
5 kids
I finally figured out what causes them to come and put a stop to THAT!!

Can someone post which specific Britax models will fit in the rear of a 996 cab (and give the front seat passenger decent legroom)? I've given up trying to find a rear-facing seat that will fit back there, but when our 4-month old is old enough to sit forward, I hope to be able to me the 996 a "family car" again.

Here's Britax's USA childseat website:

Sorry cant help with that! I only have the boosters and haven't had any of my kids in the car as infants, no reason just haven't had to. I would suggest going to a wally-mart and trying different seats or bite the bullet and get the Porsche one!

Thanks -- we don't have a Babies R Us in the area -- I know they carry Britax (not many stores do). I'll keep lookin' around.

I have a Britax (Roundabout, I think)that fits nicely in the rear of my 996.
