Fabspeed Headers
Just got my fabs from fedex. The quality on these German made headers is phenominal. They weigh 22#, 11 each, unlike the zerteks that weigh 5 each. They are very sturdy and heavy feeling, the finish work is awsome. All welds are smooth, the merge collectors are out of this world, all inlets/oulets(internally) are polished, the tubes are mandrel bent, no welded seams mid tube like the suncoast.
All in all these are first rate and I highly recommend them, I will post some pre/post data this weekend, stay tuned. No connection, just a happy customer. Call Joe for a Rennlister deal.

Ahem a bit over 6Lbs for the Ztek... Stock are around 7Lbs. The inside of the outlet and inlet look identical to the Ztek. I would not knock the Ztek especially if you have not seen them in person. On top of that they are half the price. I guess if you pay more $$$ It has to be better!

Actually I have seen them(zertek) in person, didn't care for them, seemed cheap. Call Joe, he will get you a very competitive price, you'd cry if you knew the deal I got.( nowhere near twice the price)
Karloos, I think thay all just copied fabspeed.

Wow you must have seen one of the first sets. Since they have only shipped a handful of sets, they did not anticipate the demand. Who's Ztek headers did you see? I have seen lots of headers good and bad I guess we will have to disagree on this one. Believe me I have a very high expectation of quality and they would have gone right back if they sucked next day. The vendor was aware of this. All that is important is that you are happy with your purchase.

I dunno, or care about their shipping practices, one of the local speed shops had a set a customer got off ebay last week. I was gonna get a set until I had them in my hands. I'm sure they're great, but 1/2 the steel can't be a good thing. Esp at a very similar price.

That's what I thought. Enough said.

Surgeon,
Does using the Fabspeed headers make the car a heck of a lot louder? I like the idea of going with their design and build quality, which I agree is phenomenal. However, I am worried that on top of my aftermarket mufflers, it'll be just way too loud. And I don't mean pleasant loud, I mean more loud like race-bike loud. Thanks.

I'll let you know this weekend.
I'm gonna do a whole bunch of before/after testing using a g timer to est hp, once you get all the data entered it's fairly accurate, just don't want to put my awd on a dyno. I'll also be testing the evo airbox, and a chip. Stay tuned.
Interesting about the Ruf sc, since you brought it up, Ruf in Germany actually finances cars and mods, they may start doing the same in the usa. But I think my car has too many miles to stress the bottom end with a sc.

Miles
Whats too many miles? I called RUF USA about my car (37k miles, 1999) and he thought it was ok. But, it sounded like I'd need a new engine every X miles but can't remember X
