Default Porsche Turbo look 18" Wheel weight

How much do the Porsche OEM wheels weigh? How much is an actual "turbo" hollow version?

Sorry it took me nearly 9 years to get you the information. But the below link gives some of the Porsche wheel weights! I came across it (& your posting) while searching for the weight of a wheel.

Big question is 9 years the record for thread resurrection on the 996 forum?

That link doesn't answer his original question from 2005 though. Here it is for the Turbo Look II wheels:

Front 8x18: 26 lbs. 2 oz.
Rear 11x18: 31 lbs. 6 oz.

EDIT: I guess I didn't answer it either. He wanted hollow spoke weights and all I have are solids...

You're right. As close as I can read the chart from the below link, here it is;

Hollow Turbo;

Front - 9.65 KG or 21.27 Pounds
Rear - 11.9 KG or 26.23 Pounds

Solid Turbo Look;

Front - 11.9 KG or 26.23 Pounds
Rear - 14.5 KG or 31.96 Pounds

Here is a much better link to Porsche wheels;

Here's a useful link listing wheel weights for many models:

http://www.944racing.de/wheelweights.php

I never noticed this before, but my Sport Techno wheels are listed as hollow spoke, and when you compare them to hollow spoke Turbo wheels of the same size, they are a bit lighter.

That's a good site which I discovered awhile ago.

For those that don't know, take note of how much GT3 wheels weigh. You would think that would be the lightest since it's for the racing high performance model. Still wanna pull the trigger on E88 wheels someday...

The thread title is actually a little bit confusing. The title asks about the Turbo Look II wheel (solid spoke), but the body asks about the Turbo II wheel (hollow spoke).

Anyway... I helped a couple of friends over the weekend remove a set of hollow spoke Turbo II wheels from their 2004 turbo to put the winter wheels on. I was shocked at how much lighter the hollow spokes are compared to my old solid spokes from my C4S. It was really amazing!

Interesting observation on the GT3 wheels being heavier. Do you think it's because they are stronger to deal with track use?

Looking to change my 01 996tt wheels to something much more aggressive looking.
Does anyone have any suggestions. I have new bilstein suspension + upgrades. Car is street use and some track use. Stock wheels look like crap all tucked in. Thx
