Default Fabspeed Exhaust installed. Somthings Wrong

Finally got my fabspeed maxflow mufflers installed. They sound great and pulls hard. However Iam annoyed by a terrible fluttering sound that comes at low rpm revs. Its sounds like the tips are vibrating. Any rev ends with a pplufff. Im not sure what it is but it sounds like $%%t. Any suggestions on how to make this stop.

Resonance seems right. It's one of the things that some, but not all, people have mentioned when using Fabspeed pipes.

Feel for you but don't know what solution there is short of calling Fabspeed and working through some of their suggestions.

Double check to make sure nothing is against each other, as in the backside of the tips against the cats.

Sounds like something is loose, or rubbing. Go underneath and tighten everything up, be sure and check the tip connections. My new fabs sound great, I'd say zero resonance, no vibrating like you are describing. My guess would be an installation error.
Fabs are the real deal, just switched from GHL. The GHL were good, but fabs sound and pull better!

Also check to make sure that the bottom edge of the mufflers aren't resting up against the back of the bumper (where the metal heat sheild is). On one side of mine, the fit wasn't perfect and it ended up almost resting against the heat shield!

Gonna go back to speed gallery this weekend and have them check it out. Hope they can do something about it. Oh what exactly is resonance? Besides this problem the car sounds friggen crazy. The thing sounds like a beast. Honestly its a little to deep. It has somewhat taken away the infamous porsche hum. Lower gears sound great but higher gears are very deep. Any suggestions on how to get a sound clip for you guys. Would love to hear your opinons. One of my right side head lamps is out. Its not completely out its just really dull. Any suggestions on what bulbs to replace with. Ive heard sylvania is pretty good.

You may be happier with GHL's, I think it may offer you a somewhat more civilized sound. Fabs do take some getting use to, not for everybody.

Love my fabspeeds! They have gotten more mellow over time however. No resonance here (and I did the install myself - with some instructive help). They are loud. The main thing I didn't like about other exhausts out there (when I heard them in person) was the total lack of change of sound when you start the car up cold and idle it versus stock. The fabspeeds made me do a double take, the rest sounded just like stock. Having said that, I can agree that they may be too loud for some, at least initially.

Something is definitely loose or not installed correctly.

Yeah, something is definitely wrong. Take it back and have them take a look at it. I can post a clip from my car if you want a comparison.. let me know

I usually take HP claims with a grain of salt but I tend to believe what Joe says. For example, the Fabspeed TT setup made more power than all the other TT exhausts , including some very famous brands. It's also interesting to me that nobody ever disputes his HP claims ,or calls him on it when he bashes the other exhaust brands on the website. So there must be something to it.
