I'm really surprised to see that so many future GT3 owners are going to use the car as a daily driver.

My father has owned several 911s. One of them being an 80's Targa with sport suspension. That car drove on rails, but needed an additional seat belt for your kidneys. He and I both agree that my 996 is a much more comfortable daily driver.

I can only imagine how tight the suspension will be on the GT3. You guys have some serious ***** (although maybe not for long ).

I'm sure it will be a fun car and I can't wait to see one on the street. I think if you have the money you should be able to do whatever you want with it, even if it is not practical (or especially if it is not practical).

Well Watt, the point you missed is that there is a difference; a stereo is not going to slow you down, while a drink in the cupholder is, even while commuting. Thats why I'm "pro stereo but no cup holder". So if it comes with a cupholder stock, its fine with me, there no added weight or loss of performance, but just strange in a GT3 in Europe.

And the second point that you missed is that, in Europe, it is not frequent to have a drink while driving, in ANY car not only sportcars. So you won't see as many people asking for cupholders when they buy a car. Its just a difference in ideosyncracy, just like its not custom here to talk on the non-handsfree cellular or drive on the left lane except when passing, both are even ilegal.

Thats why I was wondering if thats the reason why this GT3 is carrying cupholders STOCK while the previous one didn't is because it is now also sold in the US.

BTW Watt, when you quote someone else's posts from another forum, its courtesy to quote or link the entire thread with follow up replies and all in its context and not just selected pieces, members of this forum may not rear the other forum.
