Hey watt,

I know, I know there's nothing like 8-tracks but the fact is that if individuals on this forum ask these types of questions it's because THEY give three poops about it. Your opinion is always welcomed but no need to be rude about a topic your not interested in. Havin' said that everyone's different opinions is what makes a forum interesting and fun.

I have to say that Carlos has the best looking speaker enclosure I have ever seen in a Porsche. I'm having one built for my C4S.

Burberry? He has more choices than that.

****, who needs the full leather interior or the carbon package, when he can do your car in Gucci or Louis Vuitton fabric. The real stuff, too!

While we're at it, I'll put those Davin spinner wheels in 22", with 2 18" subs blaring some gangsta rap. I also need a neon license plate, neon ground lighting in the undercarriage, some fuzzy dice for the mirrors, and CHROME everywhere.

I also need some 8" diameter exhaust tips in GOLD.

The car will be called DA GT TRE, cuz ya know DA GT DEUCE be played out yo.

YO YO YO YO YO YO SHEEEEEEEEEET. Bling bling!

Aaahhhh... kids these days, eh watt?

Amen MJSpeed, it's like someone can't enjoy a GT3 and enjoy good sound. No sound system sounds good in a car compared to a really good sound system in an acoustically perfect room...so let's see, i guess it's idiotic to have a sound system in any car then...or better yet, i bet everyone talking about adding weight could lose a few lbs if it really mattered. but then again, hot air in the "big-head" makes for lighter curb weight...errrr, doesn't it?

i'm glad we have closed minded people to blast back at...it does make for a great forum. i love this place!

Hmmm... Now I'm kinda worried Porsche will defocus the next US bound GT3 based on customer surveys, or simply not import it at all...

I agree, MetalSolid. I want the cars to have less weight and fewer amenities. We need to show Porsche that there is a demand for that in the US. If you want a nice stero and AC, etc. get a Turbo. The GT3 is supposed to be like the 73 911RS 2.7 - that car had no radio!

Amen, GrantG.

P-Zen, chill out man, we're just here to have fun and express our opinions.

After all, I DID say I was thinking about putting a NAV system in mine.

What can I say, that touch screen looks pretty cool! Hopefully, it won't weigh much more than the stock radio.

But I can definitely see the purist's point of view in not including a radio. Don't you guys remember back in the day when Ferrari didn't include radios?

Besides, you wouldn't put a bumpin sound system in a Ferrari F40, would you? Well, that's how some people feel about the GT3. A pure raw sports car, whose soprano voice at 8200 rpm shouldn't compete for attention!!!

i'm chillin'...

i just find it humorous that the reference is to 8200 rpms, when surely the car will spend most of its life way below...and surely most of you GT3 buyers are gonna drive on the street, whereas you'll spend lots of time behind people and at traffic lights, now, that's when you crank up your Soprano singing Madame Butterfly or Figaro.

Figaro, Figaro, Figaro.......

Since I'm planning to use my GT3 primarily as a street car, I am considering replacing the stock head unit with a TrafficPro for the Nav feature. It shouldn't weigh much more than the stock unit and I use the Nav system in my other vehicles fairly often. I know the TrafficPro doesn't have a nice color screen but the reviews I've read said it's directions are adequate. Becker has a new version called the OnlinePro that includes a hands-free phone and Internet/e-mail access but it's not available in the US yet.

P-Zen - One of the benefits of living in Colorado is that the roads are like a racetrack. The car won't be my work commuting car (I live 12 blocks from work anyways). The multitude of winding mountain roads here (as well as the 4 racetracks conveniently located) will allow me to drive the car as intended. I'll be at 8,200 rpm much more often than stuck in traffic ;-)

Karl have you heard anymore of your car, last time you mentioned that its completion date was April 21. Just wondering if you have any updates on delivery.

I worder how great the GT3 at 8200rpms sounds stuck in a traffic jam?

Its funny how some people rather not have the option to listen to music or not depending if you are in a twisty mountain road or communting to work in the morning just so as not to have a 10Kg weight ballast of a basic stereo because it will hinder their handling soooo muuuuuuch.

I suppose GT3 owners must work out so as not to be 10Kg overweight either Give me a break, installing a Tip on a GT3 is one thing, but installing a basic stereo on a GT3 for street use is just common sense. Traffic and road conditions vary enormously from place to place, and while I can push it to the limits on my way to work here in the morning, and I do , others can only do that from time to time.

Just a quick question, how many of you will race in an organized championship where weight is of utmost importance? See I plan on going to the track and enjoying what this car has to offer. Now away from the track if I choose drive while listening to opera, rap and hip-hop or heavy metal is my problem. I will take out the speakers and amps when I go to the track, but if someone decides that they want to track the car with additional weight that's their problem just make sure to wave at them as you go by them.

more from Carlos, same flat-6 thread:
"My personal view is that a GT3 is meant for a purpose we all know, if your driving is not spilling the drink on that cupholder all over the car, then you bought the wrong car for your driving needs, a TT would have been a better choice I would think. But thats just my opinion. Whats next, a cigar humidifier in the arm rest of a GT2 like on the Bentley Cornige Mulliner Limo"
