Post CD Tray or Storage Box

I don't like casette tray in my car and was thinking of replacing it. It pulled out Quite easy. What do you think looks nicer. Two Open Storage Trays or Should I go with the CD tray instead? Are there any other options for the upper tray???

The 3 options for the upper tray are open shelf (part number and price in your other post), cassette storage and cd storage.

I removed the CD storage (since I have the 6 disk changer and I rarely use a single CD in the head unit) and replace it with a second shelf.

That's what I'm leaning toward (Open Shelf)... I also have the 6 disk changer in the trunk. No CD in my head unit, I have a casette player. I was thinking about the CD tray just to keep a few loose CD for the GYM etc.

Do you like the look of the 2 trays in person? I Wish they made a plain plate with a nice Carrera logo? Hmmmmmm

Right after I got my Carrera, I replaced the cd tray with a shelf. Now I have 2 shelves--one holds the garage remote, the other my cell phone. Plus the cd tray rattled like crazy.

I like the 911 Plate. Now if they only had something like that to replace the Casette Tray. Could be really nice with a 911 or Carrera logo

Does the CD tray really Rattle that much??? I do like the way the CD tray looks. It's more "moderized" then the casette tray. My casette tray is completly useless, and it makes the car look older.

I just went and ordered the upper tray today as well. I'm not completely sold on the look, but it's better then what I have now.

I would like to eventually find a plate with a nice Logo. If anyone sees one, let me know!!

No.... I have a 6 disk changer in the trunk and an indash casette player. Only reason I was entertaining replacing the cassette tray with a CD tray was to keep loose CD for the Gym etc. I decided to go with the secont storage tray instead.

(1) How do you remove the CD storage tray?

(2) How can one remove the lower empty storage tray?

I am doing a complicated iPod install and have found answers to very complicated questions but not to these simple ones.

I am leaving my cassette tray alone since I don't need the second tray and cd tray is useless since I have a cdc.

When I do a DVD nav, I'll pull the extra components to the lower dash. Until then, I don't see the point unless you need more shelf space.
