Post Formal Apology to All

For all 996er's out there- I made a fool of my self and to this board which this board was not built on. I have apologized to the 993 board as well as Rennlist and notables to my actions and I'm dead on the wrong. The website was built on quality of info and helping people out which I have pretty much distance me away from that to a point I was a useless member of this board. I know now that if the challenge had occurred nothing good would come out of it and it woulda been ugly and alot of bad blood would be its outcome. I rather have the challenge for the right reason then for the wrong which this is the case. As my token of sincerity I'm donating $1000 to Rennlist since I feel it's the best Porsche website out there and I hope to return to the status of a good member not the one I becomed. Viken- if you can give me an address I be happy to send out my donation. Again I apologize. Regards. Mike

mike, you has been posting in this site since long time ago, you always defend and contribute to this forum in the right way. Also if some people doesn't agree with your comments forget about it.
Personally, if you pay here to apologize, many others ones should do the same hands down.

Andreas- I do like to defend the 996 but my posts of late has been say down to the immature status. I'm back to reality and hope to be more positive and productive in this board. Regards. Mike

Mike, we all make mistakes! You are a standup guy for apologizing; that's more than what most people do.

I don't think you should feel like you have to give money for your mistake; if it's sincere and from your heart, that is one thing.

But we are here together on this board to help one another, and that goes beyond money.

If you still want to donate the money, I would suggest you speak with John D. about sponsoring a few memberships for those who can't afford them!

For example, one guy sold a car cover for $100, and donated it to Rennlist, and sponsored a few memberships, drawn by a raffle; that's how I got mine! And after that, my Porsche (Kijo), a 944, soon followed, with the help of a Rennlister (Legoland) who saw how much I really am a car enthusiast, and for a reasonable price, let me pick one out of his collection of 944s.

So maybe you could do something to help the community, like the membership raffle. Just an idea.

Just remember one thing: We want you, which is by far a much more valueable commodity than cash! Remember that. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Mike, I read this board all the time and I recognize your "call sign". What ever you are apologizing for can't have been too bad since most of us don't even remember what it was for!!!

But if you feel better, then so do we! Keep up the good work!

Yeah I know I didn't have to donate and all but I'm confident that Rennlist can utilize that money in the best way possible so good to hear ideas what can be done-hope John D. reads this. Regards. Mike

Julie, that's a great idea...having a small "pool" of funds for those folks who want to be part of Rennlist (as a member), but just can't afford it.

Sometimes we take these things for granted...I know I do, but to realize there are folks who just can afford it at the moment.

John D. shouldn't give our free memberships IMHO, it should be those folks who contribute to a fund. Then whoever applies for this help can do so privately with John.

I hope I'm not making a big deal about this, but I, like many others have been on that side of the fence in the past...

thumbs up to you mike!

i dunno if you ever read stock message boards such as yahoo or ragingbull.com, the people that post on them are the worse. your actions show that although we can get carried away from time to time, we still are a decent group with a touch of class.

i'd give some free phone cards to the club, but i doubt anyone that drives a porsche needs them.
