Cool Ahhhhhhhhhh....Finally!!!!!!

It finally came...3 months and 1 day after my order was placed..It was worth the wait...this 4200rpm thing is killing me...And yes a 996 will fit a rear facing child seat (the Porsche seat of course). Good thing my wife is rather short. If anyone wants me to post pics of the child seat in place I will. I only put 28 miles today, but tomorrow will be different

See the attached photos...the non-leather interior is not THAT bad....I got the leather sport seats, though. Anyone who is bigger than me (5'7", 160 lbs) probably won't like them, but they are great for me You can see the pics
<a href="http://www.abchood.com/jimandpatti" target="_blank">here</a>..sorry about having to wade through all the family photos.

Classic color combination....congratulations on being a dad and a new Porsche owner....down the road from you, near Richmond.

I have the sports seats in the '98 C2S....like them....email me and I'll share some dad and Porsche pictures

Beautiful car, great color, Congratulations (on both counts)!

I recently saw a 996 Carrera 4 with a child seat (Porsche) in the back facing forward, just curious, why not this configuration....

Thanks for the well wishes. The child seat is rear facing because he isn't old enough to be forward facing yet. He's only 10 months. They say babies should be at least a year before they are turned around. Volvo in Europe actually recommends you wait until they are 3, but no child seats in the US will accomodate that. The seat I got was the convertible one that can be turned around when he gets old enough.

BTW, Jim, you have to change your user name. You are no longer a wannabee. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Palting and J*O,

Your children are adorable. Its a little scary to see how comfortable they look next to a $80K machine. Born to ride, baby!!

Regards.
