One cool feature to this car is the Valentine-1 hardwire.
The V-1 wire runs under the A-pillar trim and under the roof liner from the fuse box to the rear view mirror. The cable is completely hidden. At the fuse box, the V-1 has it's very own switched circuit. In this way the car's electronics are not compromised and no power lines are tapped into. It's worked beautifully for two years now.
All you need to do is mount your V-1 on the windshield below or next to the rear view mirror and plug it in. The power is switched and dedicated.
It's a real slick setup. The installation was performed by a friend of mine who is an Audi tech at a local dealership.
