Default Weissach Pedals are on!!!-Pics

Well I ended up going with the Weissach pedals just for aesthetics. I know most of you hate the wood interior, but I think the pedals accent some of the small amount of aluminum trim that there is nicely.

When I bought my car, there was no cigarrete lighter so I purchased this little rechargable LED flashlight that goes in the space. It's not that bright, but at least I have a little portable light inside and something that fills the hole. I learned about this from one of the other members on the forum.

B & M short shifter next.

Also, I just purchased a SmartTOP and installed it last week. So far I am very happy and then I get an e-mail from Wilhelmy today about their remoteTOP (you can now open/close your cab top with your key fob). Does anyone else know about this? They are starting to ship in mid-October. Anyone want a slightly used SmartTOP? Just kidding. I need to use some self control with this mod madness. And I haven't even started the performance mods yet.

Note on the new RemoteTop. It is an additional part that installs in a different location than the SmartTop and provides a different function, i.e. it allows using the key remote to open and close the top, but does not provide the one touch operation from inside the car, or while moving, or raising the rear windows when the top is down. Just installed the SmartTop on my 2000 C4 Cab today and love it. Am also thinking about ordering the RemoteTop. I understand that in Europe Cabs can open and close the tops as equipped from the factory.

wouldn't you need a euro key with an extra button to do the remote top?

From what I understand, no. I allows you to hold down the lock/unlock on your key fob and it will raise/lower the top. COOL!!!!! Got an email from them as well.

As for the pedals. I sure hope you didn't pay more than Gert would sell them for since Weissach is a bit pricier (I thought) and I don't see that ever pricey "RUF" logo.

Looking good.

Perhaps think about adding some aluminum gauge bezels?

I purchased these from Weissach (Weissach.com) for $269 USD. I believe these are like the RUF pedals, without the logo. You need a 4mm drill bit to install. It was interesting that the factory break pedal was medal, but the clutch an accelerator were plastic.

Rob In WA, I like the Aluminum Gauge Bezels. I hadn't thought about this, but I reallly like how it looks.

I'm glad to hear the RemoteTOP doesn't replace the SmartTop. I hope that in the future there is a discount if you order them both ($550 seems a little steep for the functions that both provide.)

I realize this look isn't for everyone. At least there aren't any neon lights.

I wonder what RUF charges for the same thing?

Weissach used to carry the RUF pedals (that is actually what I called them to order), but they don't stock them anymore.

I believe the RUF pedals are exactly the same as the Weissach pedals, but the RUF logo is on the accelerator pedal (very hard to see unless you get down on the ground and look at the accelerator pedal once it is installed.)

I think that there is an RUF dealer in Texas now and you may want to do a search to find them. I also think that the Carnewal pedals are exactly the same as the Weissach pedals.

Carnewal (aka Gert) and Weissach and RUF are all teh same pedals. Roughlt $300 for the entire set w/o the RUF logo, about $500 with the logo.

Hello

NO extra remote needed! You can operate the soft top with your ORIGINAL key fob remote!

That's one of the key features for this device, you don't have to take a 2nd remote with you.

Regards, Sven
