Default Zaino or Klasse ????

I already posted this question on the 997 forum, but I would love to hear any additional opinions here.

Which would you recommend for a brand new, just delivered Basalt Black metallic 997 -- Zaino or Klasse? I want the car to look good, of course, but I'll admit that waxing/detailing is not my favorite activity. Thanks in advance!

Zanio for sure. I have been using it for over 15 years. Off and on I have tried other products. The latest was rejex. Zanio is the easiest lasts the longest and give a spectatular shine. If you ever get tree sap acid rain of other really bad stuff you can take it of by washing car in dawn hand dishwashing soap. This will take off the Zaino and the contaminates. Then just put on a new coat of Zaino. I just use Zaino Show car polish. I have found all the other stuff he sells the Z1 under coat or whatever not to be needed. The touch up spray is ok but so is the Mcquires product.

I've never used Klasse before but I do use Zaino. Zaino, to me, is a good wax but a terrible polish.

What has worked for me is Klazze all-in-one + Klazze sealant glaze + P21S Paste Wax. Easy on the elbows and great results. Take a look: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...8&page=1&pp=15

Cheers.

Fast40th,

Lookin' great!

Klasse All-in-One (red bottle) with Klasse sealant glaze (silver) plus P21S is what I use, too. These products are really easy to use and don't leave chalk marks on the rubber, etc. I have not used Zaino, but the specific application requirements turned me off.

I've used both and prefer Zaino. More durable and goes on/off easier than the Klasse sealant glaze.

Klasse is a fine product and you won't go wrong either way.

That makes three of us...I have tried rejex, zaino, poor boys and have found I like different ones for different areas of car (e.g., Poor boys for wheels). Also many use UPP (four star ultimate paint protection) for sealant and then apply something else on top.

Here is for Klasse:

do you use the high gloss sealant after spreading on the all-in-one? do you do it in the same day... any "curing" required?

I've been using Zaino and am VERY happy with it. I recently detailed my new-to-me black 993.

I posted details and pictures of the 'after' here (later in the thread are pictures of my engine detail): https://rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/220096-detailing-the-new-ride.html

Pete: In my case I did it in stages since I was preparing my car for a Concours, and could only work on it during evenings. One evening I applied the Klasse products (AIO and Sealant) and the next evening I did the P21S wax. But you can do all three concurrently.

okay thx... how did it look with just the AIO and Sealant?

I've been uzing the Zymol cleaner wax (baby blue in color) and I find it works very welll ...lots of good polish... problem is... doesn't last longer than 6 weeks.... hence Klasse...

Pete: The coat of wax gives it additional shine, depth and protection. The P21S wax is SO easy to apply. It takes anything from 30 mins to 1hr to do the entire car (depending on how serious you want to get) So worth it!

TIP: If you want to save yourself some bucks you can opt to use S100 wax. It is the SAME exact product as P21S but costs half as much. It is marketed to the motorcycle community.

You can buy Klasse, P21S and/or S100 here (no affiliation)http://www.sportscarcare.com/scc/default.asp

Fast40th... ok.. thx for the info... I just had my car professionally polished so all the swirl marks are gone... perhaps all I need to do is apply the Klasse paint protection at this point...
