JIC and NYC Commute Not mixing. JIC to Mo30 or x 74
So, I installed the JIC Cross coilovers on my car, thinking that my commute would be limited to trains and taxies. Well recently I changed jobs and now my commute now takes me from Brooklyn to Stamford,Ct. (1 hour) Anyway, the commute is killing me and the car. So I am thinking the suspension has got to go. I am thinking at the very least, the MO30. I am also thinking X74, but is it the same deal as the JIC suspension.
Gert at Carnewal tells me that the X74 will work on a 01 996,despite what porsche says about it only working on the 02's and above.
So, what do you think?
I will say it again, I love the JIC but its my only car.
Any comments or suggestions?

I say leave the P-Car alone and obtain a beater to commute with, I just recently obtained a beater this Monday, I was also putting too many miles on my Targa driving into the City each day. So Hello Land Rover, Now I am ready for the NYC Cabbies, Come Boyz Let's Play ! :-)

030. My x73 is no problem as a daily driver, LI into Manhattan and back. I would suggest going with the factory suggested upgrade for your car, RoW 030. I rode in my brother's '00 C2 with RoW 030 just after installing my x73, the ride is very similar as is the handling. If you want to try mine out sometime give me a ring.

Chris, thank you for the offer. I have been convinced that the ROW is the way to go. I like the factory deal with the ROW. I thought about the PSS9's, but I would go bloody nuts if it was just slightly better. Also, I am a little worried about the PSS9's ability to hold up to snow and salt.
I have ""lost" the original suspension bits. Is all I need, the row030 parts or do you need to keep any of the original suspension parts for the ROW 030 to work.
I would love to get a second car, but the logistics and costs of a second car are far different for those of us in NYC and those in the suburbs. Most find one car exccessive, two is just wasteful.
As for the sale of the JIC, I would love to do this locally. I don't want to break any rules, so email me your thoughts.

The RoW kit I ordered from Sunset had everything. Shocks, Springs, Sways, mounts, bump stops. There is a picture of the kit on Carnewal's webstie.
I got mine for $1k shipped. Install is about $500 to $1200 depending on whom you go with. Install rates are ALL OVER the place.
