The install is very straight forward, I did it last Friday, It took me roughly 30 mintues, afterwards I went for a test drive, sounds great, and looks good also. There is also a pdf file with detail instructions @ vividracing.com Good Luck

Install is easy and the effect is great. I have had this on my 996 for the last three months and I love it. It's louder and with the chip upgrade you can really feel the difference. I know there are skeptics but I am speaking form experience, I can feel and hear the difference.

Post your dyno, post the car type, post the mods on the car, post what dyno, post the conditions load ratings and the before and after.... So much talk on the intakes but the reality is with the CHIP upgrade or without, they ad HP.

spoke to my local speed shop who races professionnaly....he did not recommend it....he suggested to replace the headers and the exhaust to get some noticeable performance boost....he is famous here in montreal...said it does not do much except the sound from the extra air and he has seen too many adjustments needed because it changes the intake which is sensitive on porsche...and no real net perfromance gain....told me to spend the money on his recomendation instead of the $500 or so on it....

IMO the intake is a waste of money. I have seen many dyno runs and some actually lost HP with the intake. Many pro intake people says you have to have it running at speed so it actually gets fresh air for it to be effective, and that maybe true. My reasoning is that for the $$$ spent there probably is very few HP gained. The most effective set up is headers, cats, and chips.
