All the orange cap does from my understanding is blcok of the small chamber in the airbox that is actually used as a"muffler" to make intake sound quieter in the cabin.

No change. You get the cool sound at WOT mostly. Gas flow will always take the path of least resistance. By plugging airflow through the silencing baffle, all the air goes through the big conduit directly through the MAF as opposed to some of it indirectly. I don't feel faster, just sound better. Just $.02.

Excellent! I will take you up on the offer! Please just let me know when it arrives, and we can meet up somewhere. Coffee or lunch is on me.

Has anyone had any of these melt? As my grandma said, there is no such thing as a free lunch... And yes these plug samples are free, but they are not made for high-performance engines in mind. If I'm not mistaken, they are just freaking plugs for shipping/storing cardboard tubes... I'm sure the perceived engine sound improvement is cool, but soon forgotten (and not cool) when listening to the service tech telling you how some orange gunk killed your engine, and how warranty has been revoked...

Just a thought. I don't mean to offend happy users of these thingies.

If you have PSE or GHL or Fabspeed, etc. why would you do this? THe sound is already intoxicating from the sport exhaust.
