Oil Burning Smell After Driving Short Distances
#19
Turn your air con very low and then high, when the air con is very high it can cause a smell ( or relay engine smell) and it appears that yours occurs at high temps when your air con will be higher.

RJMDad,
You might want to look on your garage floor and look for oil. I had the same smell and small oil spots under the general area of both mufflers. The car is in the shop getting both valve cover gaskets replaced as I type. According to the dealer, this takes about 6 hours to complete. Definitely not something you want to pay for out of warranty.
I guess it just goes to show that it's not always winter tires or cosmoline.
Good Luck!
