Well i have the same problem, the car has been to the dealer twice, This is what i was told " The car was checked 100% for any oil leaks, no fault found, service manager looked at it himself, and he told me this smell is because of the winter tires and the brakes!, Well i do not see any oil anywhere , and it could be true about the brakes............but i know the smell is still there and has been worse since i have installed the winter tires. Check under the car though, even though it might not be the rms it could be a leaky cam solenoid which will still leak and smell. Also make sure you differentiate smells from clutch and brake, and possibly coolant smells

Clutch and brake smells are pretty unique. Drive behind a Buick on a long downhill and you'll get a snootful. Antifreeze has its own unique bouquet. Sniff your coolant overflow tank. Oil and rubber IMO are harder to distinguish. I recommend sniffing the tires too (pretty kinky, huh?)
