Default Fitting BBS LM's...

Hello!

These wheels:
BBS LM 8.5x18" ET56 and BBS LM 11x18" ET50, for a 996 MY02 Carrera 2.

How would they fit? Any comments of the offset?

Btw, for a 285 wide rear tire, is the 11x18" too wide? Another option is a 10x18"...but 11" sounds cool (or is there the same lip because of the same offset?)

Thank you if you have the time and knowledge to answer!
Deeply appreciated

only option is to sell the c2 and buy a twin turbo or c4s.. other than that.. good luck.. 11" won't fit on a C2/C4 :I

They will fit but as stated before in some other post, the rear wheels will tend to stick out a bit.

If you get the proper offset with an 11 it will fit however if it is turbo offset it will stick out and look silly

is it even safe to consider putting 11" on a lowered narrow body? I'd think one could potentially ruin their fenders/wheels/tires completely in certain drivingcircumstances/speed bumps/driveways potentially by hitting the fenders with the wheel.. even more if the vehicle is lowered? (if it wasn't lowered, i'd think it'd look pretty damn silly..)

Those offsets are incorrect for a 996 narrow body.

An 11" rim with the correct offset should fit, find out what offset the GT3 (MK2) has from the factory.

Bob first off 11" wheels can fit on a 996 narrow body. The GT3 use 11" and is a narrow body car. Now as someone said here the offsets are not right for your car. The 11" offset should be 60-65. The LM you are looking at is for a wide body car and will stick out the back. With that said you also can fit the 295/30 with 11" rim, which I think looks better since it has a little more sidewall height. I use a 315/25/19 with a M030 ROW kit with no problems, so you can fit the 295 easily. The front of a C4s or Turbo is the same offset as a regular C2 so if thoes wheels are for a wide body the front will fit. If you are buying new wheels just make sure the rear is the within the offsets I said, and if they are used look for other wheels.

The front will be fine, but the rear won't work. Look for a 10" wheel with a 65 mm offset. The 285/30 tire will fit well on that wheel.

Thanks for the replys and information. It helped me much.

Why I posted the wrong sizes/offsets ? Well I asked a wheel dealer I know (who is in touch with BBS Germany) what kind of LeMans wheels he could offer me and he gave me the wrong info.

Fitment chart here:

http://www.bbs-japan.co.jp/pro/wheel/lm.html

Look for 5 x 130 mm bolt pattern and 71.6 mm bore.
