Ok... so after looking into this a lot, I found the best way for my situation to get this.
I have an '02 TT with the CR-220 (has the in dash cassette... totally worthless).
Since I don't have the CDR-220 (w/ the in-dash CD), I can't lose the functionality of my CD Changer.
The CD Changer uses the only "Aux" on the unit.
To get a Satellite signal into the unit, my options are FM modulator or go through the only input which is used by the changer.
The installer is going to use a relay switch. When switched, the head unit has controls to changer, but is getting audio from satellite. So in affect, it's being tricked into thinkin it's playing a CD.
You get better sound than FM modulation, and only have to cut into the factory changer cable.
The switch can be manual or a low-voltage activated switch. If it's low-voltage, the power from the XM unit can be made to automatically flip the switch so the head unit is playing XM through the CD changer input.
Just thought those who have a '02 or earlier would like to hear another install option. BTW, an Ipod can be added similarly.

No... that's why I specified an '02. With the MOST system, you pretty much have to do FM modulator.
The owner of the shop has a 997 C2S with MOST and demoed his FM modulator to me. It sounded excellent actually, but if I can go direct, I am.
The shop is Custom Car Stereo (www.customcarstereo.com). They are very reputable and your C4S and my Turbo will probably be the cheapest cars they work on in any given day.

XM doesn't either right. At least on the music stations it doesn't.
Is Sirius commercial free on all the stations?
I'm doing this today, so I need to know!

We have SIRIUS here at the bar, music channels are commercial free. Just came back from a business trip, rented through avis which had XM in the car and their music channels had lots of commercials...

I used to have XM on my previous cars, aftermarket install. I miss it a LOT
Since I am way to picky, I have not gathered enough courage to risk having someone install it and screw up my car (scratch something, leave something crooked and the like).
How about this alternative:

Kinda been toying with the idea but other upgrades have taken preference![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
JAL_996, what part of town are you from?

Well, I went w/ XM. From what I could tell, the commercials were only on talk stuff, etc.
The music channels didn't have any commercials.
Anyway, the other factor was this... the commander unit for the XM fits just right in the pocket below the radio unit. Sirius has this big goofy looking display that I didn't like.
The way it was installed was splicing into the CD changer cable. I'm not sure who makes the relay, but when power is turned on to the XM commander, it takes over the CD input. When it's off, I hear the CDs.
While XM is in control, the CD changer is still 'playing' CD's, but the audio isn't from them.
I may get Sirius on my wife's car to compare. On the Explorer, I'm not as picky about how the install looks.

I would like to see what the aftermarket install of the deck looks like as well as where they installed/how your antenna.
Is it a Cab or Coupe?
Where are people putting satellite antennas on Cabs?
