Default Anyone TPC supercharge their 996?

What was the added HP? How much boost? What was the difference in the "seat of the pants" feel? Anyone timed the difference? Thanks for any info; I'm considering doing it to a GT3.

Does TPC make a supercharger kit for the GT3?

I don't see why supercharging would not work for a GT3. It would be awsome to have all that boost and power on a lighter car!
However, why do you want to go for TPC instead of the more tested and used EVO supercharger?
Do a search on supercharger and I bet most people that did it have the Evo.

i don't believe that superchargers are in the spirit of the GT3. why take a track-ready dry sump engine and put a supercharger on it which makes it less than ideal for track use.

however, i do believe that an EVO supercharged 3.6 C4 would be a hell of a good time on the street, with all 4-wheels tearing at the tarmac in all conditions. with instant power, narrow-body looks, and an affordable price-tag, EVO's new SC kit is hard to beat.

www.evoms.com has a few magazine reviews of the new kit. seems like EVO also believes that the powerband is better suited for the C4 as well.

high-revving naturally aspirated engine, highest development power of a N/A road going car availible in the US...

if you want to throw all that away, go right ahead, however, the act would nearly rival the placement of volkswagen engine in the cayenne base

To each his own. Last time I checked, Philip in AL wasn't asking anything about the "spirit" of his car...

Personally, I would rather get the horsepower out of tuning a 996 Turbo... but I would love to hear how a GT3 SC conversion works...

Come on Moogle, That comment sounds a lot like the one "a REAL Porsche has the engine in the back and is air cooled". The car would still have all of the incredible aspects of the GT3, it would just be incredibly fast!

It's just a thought anyway. I really want a new Ferrari 430! I'll pay a really nice premium to anyone who can get me a slot on the list!
