Default E-gas inconsistency?

Hello all,

I bought an '02 C2 about a year ago, as my very first manual. Something that has always bothered me is, very rarely, I'll go to upshift and I'll get excessive rev hang, or I'll do a throttle blip for a downshift, and the revs don't move nearly as quick as I think they should. At first I figured I just sucked as a noobie, but after 4,000mi/9mo the behavior is still present, albeit very rarely.

Do I just suck? Am I triggering some sort of emissions drive cycle programming? Is this just an e-gas quirk? Is my e-gas going bad?

I have an 02 as well. Havent had any e-gas problems. But if you want to improve the throttle response, you can do it with a good software package.

I have had a Revo stage 2 package since the beginning of time which is no longer available in the US after the debacle Revo went thru with the Stassis acquisition 15 years ago.

If I didnt have the Revo package already, I would go with the FVD package. Sure the guys will make other recomendations as well. Not to mention trouble shoot e-gas parts to think about.

Calibrate your e-gas first. Put key in ignition and turn to position 1 (not start)...wait. Do not touch the accelerator pedal! You should hear some whirring and clicking noises from the engine bay. Wait about 60 seconds and then turn ignition off...remove key. Then try it out to see if anything changed.

Ive noticed my 2000 does this too. I go to shift and the revs seem to keep going up a little bit after Ive released the gas and depressed the clutch. I just thought it was the natural momentum of the flywheel or something. Im going to try that egas calibration.

I practically do this every time I drive the car when I'm done driving to get an oil reading (the 60sec oil check). Does this only apply when the car is cold or something?
