Long time member here, have not been on forums in many years. My 2003 C4S Cab manual won't start. Has had regular service. The IMS was done in 2016. Have only driven a couple thousand miles the past few years. Now the engine won't turn over. I don't hear any metal or anything. The symptoms sounded like a crankshaft position sensors, but I am getting codes P0344 and P0349, which are camshaft position sensors. I am going to do a compression test after lunch and if compression is good I will replace those two sensors. According to a few things it could also be the camshaft rotor wheel is damaged. I put the boroscope in the engine and see a little bore scoring but not much. As of right now the car will not start at all.

Well, first things first. Got to get the "engine to turn over" before it can start.
What happens when you turn the key...? Battery in good shape...?

To most, this refers to the engine NOT cranking.

Oh, so you really have a cranking engine, but a no-start condition. Typically, one begins by checking all fuses. Read here under No-Start; https://www.systemsc.com/diagnostic.htm
Who does your work locally? I live in Miami as well and Hernan at Weissach is legit, if you can't figure it out here... reach out and see if he can help you.
