Default Sonderwunsch

It seems to me that Porsche value is directly affected by any uniqueness the car might have. That said wondering what the group thought about a 996 Sonderwunsch? Does it raise the value? Is it just a nice thing to think about my car?

Thanks for insight and thoughts!

To me it means that the original build was significant to the original owner. It wasn’t a major factor in my selection process to purchase my current 996. I wanted to replace my 996.2 which was “special” to me,,,,factory pse without the button and factory fixed carrera spoiler with aero rockers. I was originally going to purchase a 40AE. The one local to me with quality mods was too pricey for my budget and the owner even listed on bat and reserve was not met….still wouldn’t budge on price. Other 40AE cars had less than acceptable service documents along with the seller asking price. I was about to give up until I found my current 996 about an hour away, priced right and seller was/is an enthusiast who wanted to sell to someone who was appreciative of what the car is. I’m so glad I have what I have now.

I’m in the process of personalizing,,,,just little things that make it “mine” 😎 I just bought some OZ wheels, I have installed top gear sport mufflers, painted the rear spoiler, swapped in a oem black 4 spoke steering wheel and black Porsche crest. Still doing little cosmetic things. Mechanical issues that needed attention have been resolved.

Do you have a Sonderwunsch 996? I personally hold Sonderwunsch highest on the list of anything Porsche makes.

It all really depends on the build itself. If your car is a silver 996 with some obscure Sonderwunsch option, 0 value. If it's a unique color + power package + really detailed Sonderwunsch options then yes you have one of the best cars out there.

0 value? What is an obscure option? What about almost no option, non 09991 silver 996? Or subjective value? Deviated carpet/stitching is more “value” than what?

What is the $845 exclusive option that gave it a 09991 code?

Thats a good question! Maybe there is an extra charge to make the special wishes cars...besides the price of the added options?

My car has 09991 and also has Natural Leather Brown. Is that it?

It most likely encompasses all the buyer-specified options displayed after 999 on your list.
