Instrument Cluster from C4 on a C2
Hello everybody while chasing problematic indication from the fuel sender, it turns out that the problem lies in the instrument cluster. My instrument cluster has a different VIN, and it is now safe to say that the instrument cluster has been swapped in the past by a previous owner but from a C4 rather than a C2. C4 measures fuel in a different way compared to a C2 due to the tank design...
Is there anything I can do in coding to let the instrument cluster now this is a C2? Is there a proceduresl I can use? I have access to a PIWIS3.
Thanks,

Yes, the instrument cluster for C4 and C2 " are the same " but will need to be coded for the model ( either C2 or C4 ) using a PIWIS Tool...
The Tip cluster is physically different and is not compatible...

I retired before PIWIS 3 was out, but it is not a lot of difference in the meues from previous PIWIS versions and I could walk you through it over the phone or video-call...
But it is not that difficult. If you create a VAL Log first so you can always reference the current state, you can make any changes you want and then change them back to current by using the VAL Log...( Vehicle Analysis Log)
The only thing you can really screw up on is if you let the battery voltage get low during the operation.. You MUST use a 40 amp Charger with a clean power souce... Like a 13.5 volt 40 amp power source...r
