Default Part no. or bolt spec for exhaust clamp bolt that snapped?

I cannot for the life of me find which bolt I need for the clamps that hold the exhaust support to the exhaust itself. In trying to remove one it snapped the bolt in half. And if I can't get one at Porsche tomorrow I will happily use one from Ace or Lowe's in the time being but I cannot figure out what size bolt it is to be specific.

I recently bought a book from LN/Jake Raby that has the bolts and torque specs for the 996. Let me see if it's in there when I get home.

Unfortunately the book shoes the clamp but doesn’t show those bolts:

It’s an m8 x 45mm bolt. The problem is you snapped it off in the nut and it’s gonna be pretty hard to get it out of there. I would cut the nut off and just go buy a bolt and nut to secure it with.
Also a standard u-bolt exhaust clamp would work until you get a new stock one.

New clamp is relatively inexpensive 7-13 bucks.

Thank you. I'm really hoping i can bake the broken bolt piece out of the nut. I'm not sure i can bend that clamp wide enough to get it off the exhaust pipe. And I sure as heck don't want to have to remove the entire pipe. I only removed it to remove the engine brace.

I just replaced my water pump and thermostat, and this bolt was the hardest part (funnily enough).

Its clamp #13. Looks like bolt comes with it.

Is there a trick to getting tjay clamp open wide enough to slip off exhaust pipe?

something wonky here - that does not look to be a Porsche bracket, they use 2 bolts
and what is that flat bar doing there ?

It's all oem. Refer to the diagrams above. The single C clamp uses one bolt. Flat bar is bracket that secured exhaust to engine. The clamps in your pic look after market.

Dremmeled the sides down flat. Heated it up a couple times. And with some grunt... got it free!

Same for a mkII. The clamps you showed are for connecting the cat to the muffler and tips to the muffler. These clamps secure the pipe to the engine mounted support.
