Your suspension choice should be dictated by your planned use for your car and your personal taste (i.e. comfort vs. performance). I drive my car daily and I also participate in as many DE's and autocross's that I can fit in my schedule. My car came with the M030 U.S. spec sports suspension, which I found too soft for this application. I went with the PSS9 kit after very strong recommendations from local drivers and mechanics. I've had the kit on for about 3 weeks and used it for 1 DE and autocross. Keep in mind that the suspension setup is a compromise. Having said that, I am very happy with the car. My mechanic got the PSS9's for me and matched the lowest U.S. price that I could find. You can find the kit at Carnewal . They are well recommended. I can't give you advice on sway bars as my car came with larger sway bars. I don't need adjustable sway bars. Again, you will need to fit the suspension to your intended use. It's easy to spend allot of money and still not be happy with the end result.

Default Is it such a big diference?

I just got my kit. But the guys at Porsche Club are saying that it's not fair to use the PSS 9 against the regular OEM suspension.
Have you got any numbers to compare? For eg: best time with normal suspension in a certain track, and the best time with the PSS 9 .

Can't wait to hear some comments.

WOT

Dont know about the track difference but the road difference is unbelievable so I would imagine that on the track the PSS9s come to life well and truly over the OEM suspension.

It's fair if you're the one with PSS9's on your car!

The stock M030 suspension is good and you'll have the preferred ROW version. I thought that there was too much dive and squat under hard acceleration and braking. The front end also felt light at high speed. I had the car lowered about one inch with the PSS9's and realigned. The dive and squat are much better controlled. The car feels planted at high speed and it is easy to balance with the throttle. I don't run time trials or races so I can't comment on track times. I would have bought a GT3 instead of a 996 if this were my intentions.

Pss9 owners,

how did you guys set up the ride height? is there way to measure the pss9 to lowered all corners about 1.5" or is it just trial and error?

anyone here did you guys get sway bars with this kit?

Well, I guess that depends where you live, and how is your garage. Since I live in Sao Paulo, Guess, 1 inch lower than stock is already a lot. For track usage, maybe we should contact Bilstein....

Will let you know when I get the answers...
