New Mobil 1 Euro 0w40 Formula
Hey guys I was at my local autozone and saw that Mobil 1 euro 0w40 is now API SP rated.
Also saw this thread:

What do you guys think of the new oil? I’ve been using liqui moly 5w40 on my rebuilt 996 engine for 2 years now with no problems. I would like to use the new Mobil 1 because it looks better than Liqui Moly. The new Mobil 1 is also $27.99 for 5 quart jug at Walmart.

someone did a VOA of the new Mobil 1 0w40 and is in the link I provided. Mobil 1 has higher levels of moly, boron, and zinc than any VOA of Liqui Moly synthoil and leichtlauf you can find posted on the internet.

Yeah, I would just get a new bottle of it and send it in for a test. Gives you a good baseline if you choose to use it. Same can be said for any oil. Marketing is marketing. Best to know what you are either putting in your car or are considering. It's an eye opener.

OP - Here’s a VOA of the FSX2 5w50 for you to compare to. Wonder what the limitations of the 10,000 mile guarantee are. Didn’t we already learn the oil interval lesson? Why would you go to a 0w40? Even Porsche is shilling a 5w50 for our steeds.
Whatever lubrication you use, get the best and smartest choice for your particular M96 build. Engine oil money is not an area I recommend saving on maintenance costs.
Mobil FSX2 5w50 VOA
Side note: FSX2 has a formulation with 16.7/104.9 (100C/40C), TBN 11.3 and more Moly than the Porsche 5w50. Porsche base has 18.2/120.6 TBN 9.4. Both have very similar additive packages.

I like the 90 day oil change interval for my very special 996
I also have a source that imports extra virgin dino oil from deep in the middle east. Some say its from an area believed to be the Garden of Eden. Yes, The Garden.
To buy it you must be a GT car owner and vetted. PM me for my secrete contact name along with a list of your GT Cars. One is usually not enough and if you ask how much you wont get a return message. Just a tip.
Nothing but the best for my fragile Porsche
