Default Exhaust Rattle

Have this weird rattle coming from the left exhaust pipe...if step on it a little bit it'll stop.....its like the exhaust is rattling up against something on that left side...

Your exhaust tip is probably loose. Tighten it up.

I had the same issue. If the tip isn't loose, check the bracket weld on the pipe just before the tip. My weld had broken lose. Since it's stainless steel, I didn't have the welder to handle stainless, so used a stainless hose clamp tightened over the tang that had broken loose from the pipe and it has made a tight repair, holding well since.

I had a rattle as well. Mine was the cats. I replaced the left side first simply because my indi said that for some reasons the left will fail first. The honeycomb pieces inside get brittle and fall apart. Causing the rattle.
I ended up needing to replace both.

Rubber mallet is your friend . Get the car in the air and start hitting the exhaust . Concentrate around the cats and tips . You should be able to find the culprit .

Had the exact same issue a few months back on my 2004 C4S... It ended up being the bracket that attached to the exhaust tip that was loose. They had to weld it back together.
